21Shares has submit filed Form 8-A for Ethereum spot ETFs with the US SEC, becoming the second company after VanEck to do so.
Initially partnered with ARK Invest for the Ethereum ETF, but ARK Invest withdrew from the partnership in June.
The 8-A filing allows exchanges to list and trade these ETFs once approved.
The Ethereum spot ETF has seen increased activity with announcements from multiple companies.
VanEck announced initially no fees for the Ethereum spot ETF and later a 0.20% fee. Franklin Templeton and other issuers also actively announced fees. BlackRock, another leading ETF issuer, is expected to reveal fees for its funds soon.
SEC Chairman Gary Gensler previously said the approval process for spot Ethereum ETFs is going smoothly.
Despite regulatory progress and positive market sentiment, Ethereum’s price has not seen much positive movement recently and is trading at $3,429 at the time of writing.
