The companions follow the demigod’s footsteps in the Shadowlands and Ansbach asks you to find his markers. Discover the list of all the crosses on the Elden Ring DLC map, as well as how to reach them in this detailed guide.
The way Shadow of the Erdtree’s story and quests progress is a bit different than Elden Ring. Rather than collecting Major Runes, you need to find out what Miquella has been up to, where he’s been, and how to get to him.
Interest of Miquella Crosses
- These yellow markers have several uses. To start, you will sometimes discover companions of Miquella nearby like Thiollier, Moore, Leda or Dane, which allows you to progress in their quests. In other cases, they will leave you a message on site. They are also accompanied by a site of vanished grace.
- Ansbach specifically asks you to find the 6 crosses nearby.
- In addition to crafting components, you will also find Occult Tree Splinters, which will fuel your Shadowlands Blessings.

- 1 in Belurat Dungeon
- 1 in the Château d’Ensis

- 1 in the Black Castle, in the Seed Tank
- 1 on the South Coast
- 1 in the dungeon Stone Coffin Crack
- 1 in the Ruins of Rauh (upper level)
- 1 in Enir-Ilim (final dungeon)
How to reach Miquella’s Cross south of Occult Altus?
This cross is located on top of a rocky plateau, northeast of Reprimand Fort. You will need to unlock the Sealed Spirit Spring in order to reach it. Simply destroy the pile of rocks nearby to reactivate it.
How to reach the Miquella Cross in the North, in the ruins of Rauh?
You have to enter the Black Castle, north of Occult Altus. Kill the Golden Hippo boss, then look for the western exit. After a very long bridge, you will reach the upper part of the Rauh Ruins. Cross the ruins, and as you exit, you will come across the cross. It is strongly advised not to try to reach this cross before having explored the majority of the other areas. You will trigger events and miss quests by rushing into the area.
