The “Toxic Swamp” event is coming to Pokémon GO this August. On the program, many Poison and Dragon-type Pokémon await you to accompany the debut of Shiny Venalgue and Kravarech.
As Pokémon GO Fest 2023 kicks off its second leg, players around the world who can’t make it to New York can take part in a new event on Pokémon GO.
Pokémon GO Toxic Swamp: Dates and Bonuses
During the Pokémon GO Fest New York period, Niantic is offering you an additional event highlighting creatures whose poison can be fatal to you and dragons. This one is called Toxic Swamp and he will take place from Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 8 p.m. This will be an opportunity for you to discover for the first time two new shiny ones coming straight from the sixth generation.
- Venalgue and Kravarech arrive in their shiny form in Pokémon GO.
To fully enjoy this event, you can take part in aa free one-off study which will only be present during the latter. In addition, there are some bonuses that we reveal to you below.

- Team GO Rocket’s hot air balloon appears more frequently.
- One additional free Raid Pass per day by spinning an Arena’s Photo Disc.
