The Astral Eclipse event has started on Pokémon GO and, in addition to allowing you to capture Ultra Beasts, it’s the perfect time to evolve your Cosmog into Cosmovum and then into Solgaleo and Lunala, the two Legendaries of Sun and Moon.

The event Astral Eclipse takes place from Wednesday, November 23 to Monday, November 28, 2022 on Pokémon GO. It allows you to add Lunala and Solgaleo to your Pokédex and continue Rhi’s special study called A Cosmic Companion. Note that the first Ultra Chimera world will land this Sunday, November 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Raids.

Obtain Cosmog and evolve it into Cosmovum

Before getting Solgaleo Or Lunala, You will first need to obtain the small Cosmog through the quest A Cosmic Companion that you are supposed to have in your special studies menu. Progress until you obtain the Cosmog and are asked to evolve it into Cosmovum. If you don’t see the “Evolve” button, you need to restart your game and set it as a Buddy Pokémon.

Evolve Cosmovum into Solgaleo or Lunala

Unfortunately, for now, you only have one Cosmovum and will therefore only be able to obtain one evolution of it. Rest assured, Niantic has indicated that other Cosmog will be available later.

  • Cosmovum evolves into Solgaleo thanks to 100 candies and only if you perform the operation while it is day (sun),
  • Cosmovum evolves into Lunala thanks to 100 candies and only if you perform the operation while it is night (moon),

Note that the shiny versions of Cosmog, Cosmovum, Solgaleo, and Lunala are not available. Similarly to Cosmog, if you don’t see the option to evolve Cosmovum, restart the game.
