In 2018, Professor Willow offered us some special quests to obtain Spiritomb. These were focused around the number 108 to mark the fact that Spiritomb itself is composed of 108 spirits and that its entry in the Pokédex of Sinnoh is none other than number 108.
Many players didn’t get a chance to do these quests last year, and unfortunately, this is the only way to get Spiritomb so far. Luckily, “A Spooky Message” is back this year for Halloween 2019!
It’s not yet known if the quests will be the same, but you can find them below.
A scary message 1/3
- Catch 10 Ghost-type Pokémon (Reward: You encounter a random Ghost-type Pokémon)
- Make 8 Superb Throws (Reward: 1080 XP)
- Use 108 Berries to help you catch Pokémon (Reward: You encounter a random Pokémon but most often it is Excelangue)
Tip: For berries, you can feed a Pokemon and run away.
A scary message 2/3
- Catch 10 Dark-type Pokemon – (Reward: You encounter a random Pokemon)
- Spin 8 Pokestops you’ve never visited before – (Reward: 1080 XP)
- Catch 108 Pokemon – (Reward: You encounter Spiritomb)
A scary message 3/3
- There is no new task in reality. You captured Spiritomb in stage 2 and this stage 3 is only there to give you additional bonuses. You will then get 3 times 1080 XP points. You will also get 18 Spiritomb candies and 1080 stardust.
