Void Fragments in The First Descendant are monolithic objects that grant valuable resources when destroyed. Here’s how you can destroy them and where to find them.
As you wander around Ingris or complete missions, you may have noticed orange icons on the map. These are what we call Void Missions.
Void Missions are divided into two types: Void Fragments and Void Fusion Reactor. These missions feature hordes of enemies, but if you manage to destroy the Void Shards, you’ll earn essential resources such as XP, gold, Reactors and more.
You can destroy Void Fragments using the Active Skills of the character you are playing.. For example, if you play Ajax, use his Expulsion ability.
- First, deal damage to the Void Fragments
- Then they will spawn multiple enemies or Vulgus at once
- When these Vulgus appear, you must first attack and kill them, as the Void Fragments will be immune to damage at that time
- After that, attack the Void Fragments when they are vulnerable
If you kill all the Vulgus to deactivate the shield and continue hitting the structureyou will end up destroying the Void Fragment. Repeat until it falls.
Where to find Void Fragments
You can find Void Fragments in the Kingston area. Fragments in this region require Attributeless Descendantslike Ajax, who is one of the starting Descendants. You can, however, find Void Fragments in various regions of the game.
Best Characters to Use for Void Fragments
Void Shards from other regions require other Attributes like Electric or Fire, meaning monolithic structures will only take elemental damage from Descendants with those elements.
For Void Fragments with Electric and Fire attributes, you can choose Bunny and Lepic.
Void Fragment Rewards
The rewards you get for destroying Void Fragments includeGold, Fragments and Solenoids.

What to do with Void Shards?
Once you have accumulated enough Shards, take them to the nearest Void Fusion Reactor and you can interact with them to initiate an encounter with a miniboss.
Be careful, as several small enemies will appear – so we recommend bringing a friend for best results.
Void Fusion Reactors are the second type of Void missions. Simply defeat all enemies to gain resources and gain access to a Reconstruction Device.
Void missions are a great way to increase your Mastery level – a vital parameter if you want to maximize your DPS and defeat The First Descendant’s toughest bosses.
