Is Black Myth Wukong to be released late on Xbox?
In the FAQ recently posted by the developers of Black Myth Wukong, we learn that in reality, The game won’t be released on Xbox for a while game is in progress”optimization” on the console.
“PC and PS5 users will be able to enjoy the full game starting August 20, 2024. We are currently optimizing the Xbox Series X|S version to meet our quality standards, so it will not be released at the same time as other platforms. We apologize for the delay and are working to minimize the wait for Xbox users. We will announce the release date as soon as it meets our quality standards.”

On the networks and Reddit fans are very unconvinced by this sentence, explaining that there is more chance that the developers are simply trying to save face but that the game is not ready for Microsoft’s console.
No release date for Microsoft consoles?
In a press release, the Microsoft spokesperson Warner Bros. has announced that the company is working closely with the developers of Black Myth: Wukong to ensure the game arrives on Xbox as soon as possible.
We’re excited to launch Black Myth Wukong on Xbox Series X|S and are working with Game Science to bring the game to our platforms. We can’t comment on our partners’ agreements with other platform owners, but we remain committed to making Xbox the best platform for gamers, and great games are at the heart of that.
Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of both companies, we currently have no date to communicate for Xbox players who want to enjoy this particularly anticipated game.
