In the Zelda saga, gemstones are essential resources, used to earn money and improve Link’s equipment. Here is a guide to help you find Raw Opals.
There are many gemstones in Zelda Tears of the Kingdomwhich, like its predecessor Breath of the Wildwill help you improve armor, but also unlock certain mechanics thanks to in power Amalgam.
What are raw Opals used for?
Besides being a great resource to sell to make money, opal contains the power of water in TotK:
- When you fuse an Opal with a weapon using Amalgam, This one shoots water bubbles which will wet the enemies.
- If you fuse an opal with a shield, this one will wet the enemies when their attacks are blocked.
- Finally, fused with arrows, the opal will add water damage in the form of an area explosion.
Where to find raw Opals?
- The best places to find Opals in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are ore deposits scattered throughout Hyrule (you know, those clusters of sparkling rocks). They are particularly abundant in the caves and the Goron region. You can upgrade your Pru’Ha tablet so that its scanner detects deposits.
- You will be able to drop opals fighting Lithoroks and all their other variants. As said above, you can set your tablet to detect Lithorok to go farm them.
- Opals are also found in the chestsespecially those you will find in the Sanctuaries.
