A new side mission awaits you in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom! This time, it will allow you to unlock the stable of the Fort Guet but also a new horse to ride. Find the video walkthrough above as well as the written and illustrated version below.
The Unfinished Stable: Repairing the Fort de Guet Stable
At Fort de Guet, you can enjoy a small shop, a survival shelter but also a stable to register your horses and let them rest. Unfortunately, the latter is broken and Frobasieh will ask you to help him repair it. Indeed, the roof of the latter is not complete: a board is missing!
There wooden board in question is just to the left of the stable: grab it with Link’s Grasp power and move it up to the roof. You’ll have to turn it a little so that it fits properly and automatically adds itself to the rest of the boards. Frobasieh will thank you but Pistou will have another mission for you.
Where to find Mouchette, the spotted mare?
Now that the stable is repaired, its owner will ask you to find Mouchette, his pretty lost mare who has a spotted coat, a bit like a Dalmatian. Don’t worry, she’s not very far! Exit Fort Guet, through the big door just behind Pistou and look around with your telescope. Mouchette should be there on the righta little further, with several other horses.
Don’t hesitate to drink a Silencio Remedy to increase your discretion, but above all, to crouch down to approach the mare gently. Another technique is to take out an ingredient, such as an apple, to coax the horse. Once close enough to him, press A to climb on it.
Mouchette won’t let you do it, but it doesn’t take much stamina to calm her down! Press the L button several times to get her used to you, then bring her back to Fort Watch to complete the mission. You will then be able to register her as a mount to use whenever you want. You will also receive some Tempo carrots.
