Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: You probably missed this hidden quest on the sky island of the Prelude!

You’ve already made good progress in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom but you’re missing a few side quests to reach 100%? This somewhat hidden challenge on the Prelude Sky Island should be one of them.

Where to find the secret quest of the Prelude Sky Island?

Return to the Prelude Sky Island, the famous tutorial island. Jump from the highest point to navigate, thanks to your paraglider, to the roof of the Temple of Time. You will then see a Golem Assistant who has a quest to give you! It is simply called “The Sky Island of the Prelude” and it is very likely that you have never come across it if you have not returned to the island for long hours of play.

The Golem will then ask you to take up a very specific challenge: to succeed in light 3 wood firesscattered across the island, in less than 12 hours in-game (12 minutes for real), without ever setting foot on the ground. To achieve such a feat, you will need to equip yourself with the Zora armor in order to climb the multitude of waterfalls added to the island for the occasion.

Some prerequisites:

  • Completed the Prelude Sky Island tutorial,
  • Having descended to the Surface and having unlocked your Parasail with Pru’ha,
  • Have completed at least one of the regional quests,
  • Having unlocked the Zora armor allowing you to climb waterfalls,
  • Have enough Stamina,
  • Have arrows and fire fruits.

Where are the three wood fires?

THE yellow markers on the map below you will see the exact location of the three fires that need to be lit. Remember that you must light all three fires and then return to the roof of the Temple within the allotted time.

Starting from the roof, we recommend that you first go left towards the mountain (the rightmost point on the map, next to the Gulan Bati Shrine). Use the large cascade to climb high in the sky with your paraglider and be able to control it until the wood fire.

You can then go south of the island to go around and choose the most optimized path. The fire is located below the Nacho Yaha shrine.

Finish your run with the wood fire that you probably already saw during the golem’s explanations, just in front of the Temple, to the north of the island. You will get a Soneau fabric as a reward.
