Here’s a new Zelda Tears of the Kingdom side quest that’s among the rumors for Penn of the Gazette to complete. Check out the video above and the written version of this short story In Search of Truth in a Relay.
For the Love of the Princess: Obtaining the Rumor
This quest is part of the 12 investigations that you must complete with Penn in order to complete “In Search of Truth” in the Gazette des Bois and obtain the rewards. You will find it at Relay at the foot of the mountainin the Ordinn region, south of Goron Village and Death Mountain, or north of Zoran Plateau Tower. The nearest sanctuary is Qisi Nona.
Once there, you’ll find Penn outside wondering why most travelers here walk around in their underwear. Then talk to Bougain further on, who will send you on a challenge to fight some monsters.
Where to find the monster cave and how to complete the challenge?
From the relay, follow the path that Penn and Bougain have told you. The cave is quite far: go over the stone bridge and you will arrive in front of a cave entrance with skeleton ornaments. Two men in underwear are at the entrance: talk to them to complete the challenge. A bit like in some sanctuaries, you will then find yourself without any equipment or good food (remember to restore all your hearts first).
The goal is to eliminate the Bokoblins and the big one Moblin at the back of the cave. To start, approach discreetly (while crouching) to retrieve a club then, on the right, a spear, a sword and some grilled ingredients that will allow you to survive. Also try to take the shield. This will surely sound the alarm among the enemies but it does not matter: they are now disarmed for the most part because you have stolen their weapons.
The Moblin will throw stones at you. With Amalgam, fuse one of the stones on your club: this is the only way to damage the Bokoblin with a helmet! Your other priority will be to eliminate the archer in order to recover his bow and some arrows. Don’t hesitate to fuse your arrows with Bokoblin horns to cause more damage: aim for the Moblin’s head to stun him and go and do him damage. The shield will allow you to dodge the enemy’s attacks as best you can.
Once all the enemies are killed, return to the cave entrance to retrieve your equipment. Then return to the relay to complete the quest.
