One of the first side quests in Once Human is frankly not very obvious when you haven’t yet mastered all the codes of this game. Answering to the name of “In the middle of madness” (Lost in Madness in English) this quest asks you to find a map leading to obtaining a heavily guarded treasure. You are guided to find not only this treasure map which starts the quest, but also the Faithful Treasure Chest!
Where to find the Adept’s Treasure Map in Once Human?
First of all, your first objective will be to obtain the quest In the midst of madness. To achieve this, you must go to the area of Coastside Plazaeast of Dayton. There, look for a store northeast of town called BN Martyou shouldn’t have too much trouble finding it.
Upon entering you will easily notice that a very macabre ritual has taken place here. This is precisely the object of your research. Go to the back left (if you come from the entrance of the store) to find some Red Candles on the ground. Interact with one of them (F key by default) to light it and make a chest appear containing the Chall Peak Treasure Map starting the quest you are looking for: In the middle of madness (Or Lost in Madness in original version).
Now go to your inventory (key I by default), and in the tab dedicated to quest objects (the fourth from the left) left click on the Adept’s Treasure Map to display this one and discover a clue concerning the location of the Faithful Treasure Chest which you are now looking for according to the new quest objective that appears on the screen.
Where to find the Faithful Treasure Chest in Once Human?
Your new objective is now clearer: you must go to Chalk Peak ! Be careful: this is a very high level area relative to the quest level. In the middle of madness (32+). Get on your bike and don’t stop once you’ve crossed the border between Dayton and Chalk Peak, or you’ll be in for some nasty surprises fighting the enemies there.
Your goal is the Colony of the Faithfula very small sub-area located just to the southeast of the Monolith of greed. Allow about 5 kilometers from Coastside Plaza. Here again, be careful because the area is very densely guarded by Vulture’s Assassins level 30 and above who will shoot you on sight. Head to the upper floor of the westernmost hut in this sub-area to find the Faithful Treasure Chest containing a whole bunch of objects and which, once opened, will validate your objective.
The Quest In the middle of madness should now be complete. Good luck getting out of the Colony of the Faithful alive if you chose to go there at a very low level!
