How to Cook Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Tips, List of Effects… Everything You Need to Know About Cooking

Cooking is a very important feature in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom that will allow you to restore your hearts but above all to resist tons of penalties such as cold, heat or even these terrible miasmas of the depths, although in some cases the outfits will be more practical than the recipes.

How to cook in Zelda TotK?

Right from the tutorial, on the sky island of the Prelude, you can find a Golem in front of a fire and a pot who will explain to you how to cook. You will also very quickly need to prepare cold-proof dishes when you venture into the mountains.

Prerequisites

Here’s what you need to know before you begin:

  • You can find pots regularly during your exploration, in camps, relays or villages,
  • Otherwise, it is possible to find Soneaus Artifacts from portable pot : this allows you to take out a pot at any time without needing a fire. Be careful, it is for single use only.
  • It is also possible to grill food, without cooking it, simply by leaving it next to the fire or by shooting a fire arrow at it,
  • To create a fire : Take a bundle of wood (obtained by cutting down trees) and a flint (by breaking rocks) from your inventory. Then place them on the ground and hit the flint with a metal weapon (like a sword) to light the fire,
