Have you come across a beautiful golden horse in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom or seen another player proudly showing it off on social media? Here’s how to get your very own royal nag, a one-of-a-kind mount, while completing a quest from the Quest for Truth side quest thread.
In Search of Truth: Unlocking the Woodland Gazette Quest Thread
When you go to the region ofHebra To complete the main scenario with Babil du Village Piaf (and thus complete the Temple of the Wind), you will necessarily pass by a building resembling a Relay but which is in fact the HQ of the Gazette des Bois, a newspaper run by Bourgette, the editor-in-chief. Her partner, Penn, will then give you the secondary quest called “In search of truth”.
Without it, you will not be able to unlock the sequence of events to tame the much-desired golden horse. The Wood Gazette is located exactly north of the Tabata Reaches and to the right of the Village Piaf. Remember that in this region you will need cold weather clothing or chili dishes to explore in peace.
Where to find Zelda’s golden horse?
Now that you’ve met Penn, he’ll meet you at every Relay in Hyrule for his “quest for truth” and, each time, you’ll have to solve a case. The one we’re interested in is at Frozen Prairies Relaystill in the Hebra region, southeast of the Urban Meadow Observation Tower.
Once there, find Penn who is talking with Auvena young woman desperate to have lost Lady Zelda’s golden horse. Your goal? Find it! This will allow you to avoid the Ice Griockthe huge three-headed dragon that would love to eat you. You will spot the golden horse from quite far away since its color allows it to be very visible. Unfortunately, approaching it discreetly (crouching) will not do much good: barely behind it that it will kick. The technique is more about approaching gently and run at the last moment to surprise him on the sides: quickly press A to climb on him.

With all these soneaus artifacts, your means of locomotion are increased tenfold. However, we strongly advise you to still take an interest in the horses of Zelda TotK: having your own mount has many advantages, especially since there are always special horses in this episode.
Once the golden horse has calmed down, it is necessary bring it back to the Relay. Always be careful to dodge the ice hydra and you’re done. As soon as the quest is turned in, don’t hesitate to save your horse so you can use it at any time (especially since its stats aren’t bad). You’ll also get a net and a royal saddle to customize it, as well as an Enduro Remedy.
