Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Miasma Hands: How to Summon Ganon’s Ghost Boss?

Once again, life is not easy for Link in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Between the greedy merchants, who do not hesitate to treat their goods like PS5s that are completely out of stock, and the gangs of miasma hands, who hunt our hero all over the world, we never have peace! We have no choice but to be scammed by the merchants, but it is possible to extort equipment from your enemies, as well as from a shadow of your Nemesis: Ganon.

Where to find Miasma Hands?

We’ve come across them all over the game, but they seem to have fixed spawn points. The location where we fight them, in the video, and which we also recommend you use, is the cave located under the Mount Labulat Scout Tower, a little north of the North Hyrule Field Relay. As you go down into the main room, the group of hands will appear, and start tracking you.

How to kill miasma hands?

It is best to avoid melee combat, since the hands will grab you and siphon off your health. Instead, we recommend killing them with a bow, after hiding up high. Indeed, the big weakness of these hands is thatthey don’t know how to climb obstacles (probably because they don’t have feet). This allows you to shoot them quietly. You can also wait, they will eventually disappear on their own and leave you with some loot.

Ganon’s Ghost Summoning Technique

But if you want a real fight, by summoning the hidden boss, you will have to kill all 5 hands at once. There are different ways to achieve this, but the easiest is probably to just use Flower bombs. Time Bombs are also popular, if you have any Sonar Artifacts in stock. You can either shoot them with arrows, or throw them by hand. The latter is probably better, as it saves your arrows and bow. Be careful not to kill yourself by shooting too close, the explosion is quite large and painful, as confirmed in the video.

Defeat Ganon’s Ghost

This enemy is quite powerful, but is quite manageable once you know what it is capable of:

  • From a distance, he will shoot arrows, which are fairly easy to dodge by backing up or moving sideways. But you have to be careful when a red ball is coming at you, it’s not a projectile, but a teleportation from him. Ganon will appear next to you, and strike with his sword. You must then flee.

  • You can continue the fight from a distance, or you can engage in melee combat. It is quite easy to‘avoid the boss’s charge attacks by sprinting in the opposite directionhe will then just attack into the void. If you attack in melee, prefer a weapon with a good reach, like a spear, so as not to step in the pool of miasma surrounding him. By attacking him, the pool of miasma will temporarily decrease, which theoretically allows you to change weapons.
  • It’s not something we took advantage of well the first time we encountered him, but once you know the rhythm of his attacks, they’re pretty easy to dodge. Hold ZL, then press X while moving the joystick back, to back dodge during his sword strikes, before counterattacking afterwards. We recommend you dodge backwards, not sideways, since the boss’s blows are mostly slashing, or even rotating.

Booty

The items obtained evolve as you progress through the game, but they are always very interesting, with a saber and a bow. It is better to use the saber on the surface, since it inflicts miasma damage on its wielder.
