More than ever, we’re going to ask you to stay open-minded about our estimates of the lifespan of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The title is absolutely gargantuan and there are so many ways to play it, that the time you spend in Hyrule will vary greatly depending on your profile. We’re also on some pretty crazy numbers to see everything and We obviously haven’t completed the game 100% yet, but this guide should still give you a good idea of what to expect.
How many hours to complete the main story?
We strongly advise against doing this, and you will be invited to explore the world to solve some of the mysteries encountered in the game’s main quests anyway. You can expect 50 to 60 hours to see the entire storyline while collecting the new batch of memories present everywhere on the Hyrule map. One stage of the game will also require you to have covered part of Link’s forces before being overtaken, so you will necessarily have to go through a few dozen sanctuaries to see the end of it.
How many hours to complete it with all the interesting side content?
If we cannot yet give you the exact number of sanctuaries present in the game (we must be around 150)we already know how many side quests and missions there are, and it’s pretty colossal. You can count on 60 side quests, some of which are spread over fairly long narrative arcs. For the “missions”, which are short objectives to be completed most often in a few minutes, there are more than 135. It’s totally excessive, but to fill all the checklistsyou will need at least 250 hours and be particularly efficient.
How many hours to complete it 100%?
In 150 hours of play, we managed to reach an overall completion rate of just 54.01%. A figure that takes into account every little Korogu recovered on the map: each one advances the completion rate of the adventure by 0.04%. Taking into account everything that remains to be done in the game and if you absolutely do not want to go through guides, finish Zelda Tears of the Kingdom should easily take you over 300 hours.
