Link

Royal squire of Princess Zelda and bearer of the legendary sword, Link will likely face a force far too great for him from the beginning of the adventure. His arm eaten away by a strange corruption that will give him these new fusion powers, it is on him that the fate of the entire kingdom of Hyrule will once again rest. To do this, he will have to unravel the mysteries of a whole new civilization living in the heart of the celestial islands that have appeared above the Kingdom.

Zelda

While searching the castle’s basements with Link, Princess Zelda ends up falling into a bottomless ravine at the moment when the immense Ganondorf awakens. She will obviously survive her fall and should even have a much more important role to play in this sequel, if we are to believe her scenes in the latest trailer for the game: she would manage to make contact with the mysterious people of the sky islands and could even lend them a hand in their fight against the forces of nothingness.

Ganondorf

It’s been 17 years since Ganondorf appeared in a Zelda game: the last time was in Twilight Princess in 2006. In the episode Skyward Sword, supposed to mark the very beginning of the legend of Zelda; it was his ancestor the famous Avatar of the Void who terrorized Link and Zelda at the origins of the kingdom of Hyrule. Classier than ever in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Ganondorf proclaims himself King of the Demons and he seems to want to build a tailor-made kingdom for himself.

Sidon

The young heir of the Zora is always ready to help his friend Link in memory of his sister Mipha, a little angel who left too soon. He’s the first to show off his fighting skills alongside the legendary sword wielder in the final trailer. He’s seen wielding his trident alongside our hero during fights that look like they’re taking place on a brand new Zora building. Will the companions be assistants during the game’s new dungeons?

Babble

We wonder where this little pretentious Rêvali has gone, since it is the young Babil who will accompany Link when he returns to Piaf lands. He is the son of Teba and Dézelle, two important characters in the Hebra region story arc.. Gifted like no one else with a bow between his claws, the little bird will also be one of the traveling companions capable of directly helping the bearer of the legendary sword in his fights.

Unknown characters

Several completely new characters made their first appearance in the game’s final trailer, and we have absolutely no idea what race they are at the moment.. The most logical thing would be that it comes from the sky islands that occupy the airspace of Hyrule, but it is impossible to be certain for the moment. Another disturbing element is the outfit of one of these characters, identical to that of Zelda: is it the princess transformed by some power?
