Violence is an effective way to make friends in Black Myth Wukong. It’s also the only way to unlock the place you’ve been dreaming about since the second chapter: a hub that brings together all the merchants and craftsmen.
Boss Chen Loong
The first step is to get off the giant turtle and activate the Altar of the Bitter Lakein Chapter 3. Then, go along the seaside to the left of the area, you will see a dragon paddling around. He probably didn’t appreciate the murder of the rest of the Loong family. In any case, you will have no choice, you have to beat him. He is not a particularly difficult boss, be prepared to receive lightning and shocks.
Where to find Chien Xu?
After taking a few blows to the muzzle with a stick, Chen Loong becomes a little more friendly. He asks for a Chien Xu pill, in order to prolong his life.
If you forgot, Chien Xu is the alchemist encountered during the chapter 2. He is first encountered at the entrance to the rat village. He then asks you to kill the frog boss nearby, to recover his formulas. Subsequently, he is in the Cave of the Temple of the Hidden Tiger. You must start the Warthog quest, in order to obtain the Tiger Mask required to open access to the area, after killing the Vanguard Tiger boss.
Bring the pill back to Chen Loong, to obtain a reward of unexpected magnitude. He will disappear after a few moments, leaving you with a painting in your inventory.
You can use the painting, or any altar, to reach a new destination, called the Zodiac Village.
Zodiac Village
This small area will automatically gather all the special craftsmen and vendors, such as the Beverage Monkey and Chien Xu. They have new items for sale that you might be interested in. Chien Xu will also give you free remedies regularly, so if you ask him, don’t hesitate.
Chen Long will also open a garden. By giving him the seeds found since the beginning of the game, he will be able to grow many plants automatically. You can collect them by passing through the area from time to time. The limit seems to be 8 copies of each plant.
Black-smith
Finally, the Yin Tiger awaits you at the back of the village. It offers various services, including the unique one of upgrade your armor. This is the only way to increase the defense of low level armor, allowing you to continue using them at high levels, if you like their bonuses.
Finally, you can challenge the Yin Tiger to battle. This is one of the toughest bosses in the game, but the rewards are worth it: an extra Trinket slot, as well as a powerful transformation.
