Ranah Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Dancing Blade: Where to find this weapon?

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree features a surprising number of excellent weapons, each with their own unique gameplay. After colossal weapons like the Bloody Demon Arm and perfumes, it’s time to find the perfect weapon to justify using a dance pad as a controller.

Ranah’s Dancing Blade Stance

This blade can be found on the boss Ranah Dancer, in the Nameless Southern Mausoleum. This micro dungeon has the particularity of being located on an offshore island. As with Necrolimbe Island, you have to take a tunnel to reach it. It is located below, behind the tree and the altar surrounded by shadows. Be careful, since the tunnel goes in two directions, one will take you to a stone coffin with interesting objects, the other to the island. Beware of the lobster inside too. If you don’t know how to reach this area, check out our Map Fragments guide, as well as the route guide.

Ranah Dancer Boss

Once in the mausoleum, a boss in the same vein as the Knight of the Black Jail and Rakshasa awaits you, but this time, it’s a dancer. She is obviously less intimidating, but you should not underestimate her. If she manages to trap you in her chain of attacks, death will come very quickly.

As with most bosses of the genre, the solution is to stagger her with an attack at the first opportunity, or even to make her fall, then to attack until your stamina is low. You must then maintain your distance before attacking again. The dancer is very fragile, but she has a life potion, and she does not hesitate to dodge, or to perform jumping attacks.

It can also occasionally trigger a cone of flame.

When she dies, the dancer will drop the Ranah’s Dancing Bladeas well as her set of dancer armor. We’ll take this opportunity to share an interesting anecdote: the dance has the same face as Tanith, under her mask, who was also a dancer before.

How to use Ranah’s Dancing Blade in a build?

This weapon obviously favors a Dexterity Build, since its affinity is A-rank once maxed out. It cannot be enchanted with consumables or spells, and you also cannot use Ashes of War.

On the other hand, her Eternal Dance skill can be devastating, with the right equipment. Winged Talismans, Alexander’s Shard, and Blue Dancer’s Talisman are all excellent. Millicent’s Prosthetic will also work wonders.

You should also wear the full dancer outfit, as this will enhance your dance attacks. This armor is also extremely lightweight.

By investing in Faith, in order to obtain some reinforcement spells, the damage of the eternal dance will very quickly reduce the life of the bosses to zero. In return, you will be very fragile too.
