Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree adds new Crystal Tears to your Vial of Miraculous Salvation, and two of them have caught the attention of players. The first is primarily defensive, and the second, called Blood-Drinking Cracked Tear, is all about offense. It’s recommended for many builds, such as the Sparkling Surge.
Blood-Drinking Cracked Tear Effect
Once in the vial, this crystal will increase all your damage by 20% for 3 minutes, but in return you will lose 1% of your health per second.
On one hand, it will help you kill enemies faster, especially if combined with other damage bonuses, on the other hand, your death is guaranteed if you don’t heal yourself. You will lose almost the equivalent of 2 health bars during these 3 minutes, which corresponds to about 5 Healing Vials. It’s brutal, and you’d better have spells like Bestial Vitality to mitigate the damage a little.
How to get the Blood-Drinking Cracked Tear?
Let’s just say it right away, this is going to be quite technical. You can consult our guides to the Map Fragments of the Routes to follow, since you have to reach the kind of basin below, at the foot of the Black Castle.
You must take the hidden stone coffin near the Painting to reach the area. You will see many Furnace Golem carcasses, and one of them is blocking access to the central building.
The solution is to craft a Large Furnace Pot, then climb the ruins to the left of the area. Once on the balcony near the “basket” serving as the golem’s head, throw the Large Furnace Pot inside. This will wake it up, and a classic fight against the Furnace Golem will begin. Upon its death, you will obtain the Blood-Drinking Cracked Tear. Access to the building will also be opened, with an Incantation and an altar inside.
How to make Large Stove Pots?
If you don’t have the recipe for the Great Pots of the Furnace, you can find it in the Grave Plain. You need to collect the Potentate’s Manual 2on a corpse west of the stone bridge.
The other components are fairly easy to obtain. Black Butterflies and Messmer Embers can be found in Altus Occulte soldier camps, among other places.
The Great Furnace Mask is obtained by killing a Furnace Golem, or by looting golem carcasses, in the area indicated above.
