Niantic has just announced its brand new referral program on Pokémon GO. A feature that arrives a little late at the dawn of the 5th year of the mobile game but which will allow you to reap many interesting rewards.
How does the referral system work on Pokémon GO?
At the moment, we don’t have much information except that the feature will be available for testing in Australia from March 12, 2021. The referral program will then be able to work for players who have never played the game of course, but also for players who have taken a break.
So, if you refer someone who has never played or who has taken a break, you and that person will receive a multitude of in-game rewards like Pokémon encounters, Super Candies, and Incubators. Even better, every time your referral levels up in the game, you’ll both receive additional bonus rewards.
To refer someone, you will need to share your referral code with them, as in most video games that offer this system. Following the test in Australia, the program will be updated regularly and offered in the rest of the world.
