AMD lists 3 Zen 3+ processors without integrated graphics

In an effort to gain greater market share, amd has presented a series of CPU that seek to enter all sales ranges, both low-end, mid-range and high-end, now including new processors without iGPU. These new components would fall within a mid-range since their specifications are simpler than the latest models they have presented, in addition to eliminating certain technologies such as integrated graphics to reduce costs.

During the last years amd It has become the choice of many people when it comes to getting a processor aimed at gaming, since it offers extremely high performance for applications that require a large load, making this company also dominate the console market. Now, the brand that created Ryzen presents three new processors aimed at those people looking for relatively high performance for a lower price.

AMD’s strategy

We have seen in past months how amd has tried to launch a series of processors on the market that offer great performance for most tasks related to intensive work, which are generally those related to gaming. But the company does not want to stay in a single part of the “elitist” sector but instead seeks to offer a wide variety of lower-priced components by dispensing with certain technologies that allow production costs to be reduced, which ultimately translates into a drop in the price of the piece.

In this case, as we have indicated at the beginning, with this new range of Zen3+ processors the company gets rid of one of the things that causes a CPU has a higher cost, integrated graphics. Although we still do not know the prices that these new processors are going to have, we know what their characteristics are, and we can see that they are really about CPU which from the beginning are designed to have lower performance than the current models that the company can offer.

The main reason for this is related to the fact that these are processors whose objective is really to be used for computers that do not take up much space or even for laptops. The new models are the Ryzen 5 7235Hhe Ryzen 5 7235HS and the Ryzen 7 7435Heach one with its own characteristics, the biggest difference that exists between the two being Ryzen 5 the fact that the “H” version would be intended for the most demanding market, that is, for more powerful computers, while the HS would be intended for PCs that cannot use as much energy.

What specifications do these new CPUs have?

First of all, as we have indicated, both the Ryzen 5 The 7235H and 7235HS have identical specifications, so we might expect that having a different name has more to do with marketing than specifications, since both have a configurable TDP between 35 and 53 W. Meanwhile, the Ryzen 7 7435H It does present a big difference in power compared to the previous two, since it is a higher version that includes 4 more cores along with 8 additional threads in addition to other differences:

These processors are initially created for both desktop and laptop platforms, so we can imagine that these CPU They aim to cover a field in which Intel usually leads, that of laptops, but they can also enter one that is booming, that of mini PCs.
