AMD announced a few hours ago that the new Ryzen 9000X3D range will be presented on November 7, thus confirming the date that has been rumored in recent weeks. This new generation of processors with 3D V-Cache from AMD will be made up of three processors: Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Ryzen 9 9900X3D and Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
When there are still a few days left until this new series of AMD processors is officially presented, we know practically everything about the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, however, it is not official information so, to be safe, it is advisable to wait for its presentation official.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is 35% faster than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D
As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, the best processor that we can buy on the market for gaming use is the Ryzen 7800X3D, a processor that, seeing the latest performance tests that have been leaked of its successor, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, is very below.
In the Anandtech website forums, a user has published a screenshot of the CPU-Z application of the Ryzen 9800X3D in which Precision Boost Overdrive, AMD’s application to increase the performance and with which it managed to raise its maximum performance speed to 5.6 GHz.
It is important to note that, based on the specifications of this processor, the minimum clock speed is 4.7 GHz and the maximum with turbo is 5.2 GHz, this is 200 MHz more than the 7800X3D.
After making this modification, the user used the Cinebench R23 application to analyze its performance compared to the unmodified version of this processor and the results are very interesting.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D scores 25,258 points in the test multicore from Cinebench R23 and 2,261 points in the single-core test.
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D that is currently available on the market has a Cinebrach R23 multi-core score of 18,759 points, which is 35% less. As for the difference in this test with a single core, this is 25% in favor of the 9980X3D.
Price and availability of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D will be the first of the 3 new ones 9000X3D processors that will hit the market, since the rest of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D models will not arrive until early next year.
Regarding the price, based on the information we published yesterday, we see how this new processor will be about 30 dollars more expensive compared to the starting price of Ryzen 7 7800X3D. In this way, if the Ryzen 7 7800X3D arrived in Spain for 549 euros, the successor is most likely close to 599 euros.
To clear up doubts and know the launch price, we will have to wait until November 7.
