Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree introduces a bunch of exotic and interesting weapons to play around with. If you like giant swords, the Black Jail Knight weapon is one option, and the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword is another, if you want to use one of the best weapons in the DLC.
Where to find Ancient Meteoric Ore Swordfish?
We must start by reaching the second region, Altus Occultby killing Rellana, or by borrowing a Sealed Spirit Source. Venture into the Meteoric Forge, in the south of the area. Be careful, the area is full of aggressive mutants.
As the name suggests, this is a mini forge-style dungeon. There are no bosses, but the golems are a pain to kill with most builds. There is also a puzzle to solve at the end, in order to reach the center of the forge.
- The solution is to climb upstairs, then activate the lever that lowers the armored door leading to the last room of the dungeon.
- But the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword is not in this room. After passing through the door, you will see a lever on the right, in an alcove. You must activate the lever, then climb quickly on the door. It will then serve as an elevator to a previously inaccessible section of the area. All you have to do now is examine the altar to obtain your weapon.

This colossal weapon has a respectable reach, and it has a few notable quirks. For example, it requires 16 Intelligence to wield, but its damage has no affinity for that attribute. It deals both physical and magical damage, with the magical damage portion based on your Esotericism. Magical damage scales extremely well, however, despite the seemingly low affinity at D.
This weapon is enhanced up to +10 with Dark Forge Stones, its affinities are as follows:
- Strength: B
- Dexterity: E
- Esotericism: D
Since this weapon doesn’t inflict afflictions, it doesn’t really fit into the usual Esoteric builds, unlike the Bloody Demon Arm for example.
In return, it is possible to strengthen the weapon with consumables or spells, such as Electrified weaponFor example.
This weapon’s skill is very interesting, it triggers a forward charge that makes you pass through enemies, followed by a lightning bolt hitting a notable area.
