Binance.US criticized the SEC’s regulatory approach as “regulation by enforcement” and argued that their legal challenges were politically motivated under the leadership of Chairman Gary Gensler.
Binance.US asserted that the SEC had not found any evidence of wrongdoing after 11 months of discovery. However, the US court still did not dismiss most of the SEC’s claims, including the allegation that CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao acted as a “controller.”
