In Black Myth: Wukong, you heal yourself by drinking. This is not a method we recommend IRL, but unless you are extremely good, you will need an excellent water bottle, with a large capacity, in order to survive against the last bosses of the game.
As always, it is the mysterious Chinese master who will encourage you to make better use of your water bottles, by inviting you to bring him one of better quality.
Quest Position
You can find the relevant NPC in a room located after the boss Cloud Mist and Misty Cloudbefore the Emerald Hall, in Chapter 5. The entrance is located on the other side of the lava, to the left of the two shield-equipped giants.
Quest Solution
Even with a legendary canteen equipped, the old man will refuse to drink with you. The reason being that he expects you to have equipped a very specific canteen, the Buddha’s medicinal gourd. To obtain it, simplyimprove your old water bottle to the max basic with the Monkey Shenin Chapter 1, or in Chen Loong’s Zodiac Village.
Remember to check out the shops of the various Altars, as well as the Shen Monkey shop, in order to purchase the Luojia Fragrant Plants required for improvement.
How to get the Supreme Gourd?
Once you have the Buddha’s Medicinal Gourd, equip it, then return to the quest giver. Contrary to what he had announced, he does not intend to toast with you. Instead, turn around. The strange flame flying in the center of the room can now be sucked up by the gourd.
This is the only gourd with 10 charges. It will also strengthen your next attack, allowing you to create a devastating combo using invisibility.
The high number of charges also makes the additive even more profitable, giving you a chance of not consuming the contents of the bottle when you drink.
