Black Myth: Wukong has an incredibly high number of bosses, even if they are not all difficult or complex, they have the merit of being quite original in a lot of cases. At least, if we ignore a high number of giant piles of stones, against which the fight is limited to breaking their kneecaps with a stick, between two dodges.

We counted a grand total of About 100 bosses in Black Myth Wukong. Please note that they are not all unique, they do not completely escape recycling, with a change of color, or even a complete copy-paste in some cases. Some fights include several bosses at once, and other bosses are fought several times. This makes the total number of bosses quite difficult to determine, or even variable, depending on how they are counted. So you may find a different total on other sites.

- “Tiger of the avant-garde” : An alternate version of the Vanguard Tiger, faced in the secret area of Chapter 2. This is a continuation of the Warthog quests.

- Black Loong : Secret boss to be revealed behind the sand waterfall, by possessing the Loong Scales.

- Chief Macaque : A recurring boss of the chapter, that you will have to face several times.

- Captain Lotus Vision : Required to open the cells of the Pagoda Prison.

- Loong Cyan : The third boss of the Loong Scales quest. He is located at the back of the giant turtle island.

- Yin Tiger : The blacksmith of the Zodiac village, you can challenge him to unlock a Transformation and an additional Trinket slot.

- Yellow Loong : The final optional boss of the Loong Scales quest. You must have killed his 3 brothers before you can fight him.

Chapter 5
This chapter is full of fights pitting you against two bosses at once.
- Sturdy Pale Axe : Another boss who becomes friendly, he then gives you a quest. Completing it by destroying all the carts of the 5 elements allows you to access the secret area of the chapter.

- Mother of flames: In the area after the Flint Vanguard, look for a strange red area on the ground. Deliver 4 Fire Ores found on nearby enemies to summon this boss.

- From top to bottom and From bottom to top : First boss of the secret area. You must speak to Pale Axe several times, in order to progress his quest and open access to the area.
- Golden Eyed Beast Bishui : Final boss of the secret area

Chapter 6
- Supreme Inspector : The real fight against this formidable boss.
- Jiao-Loong of the waves : This dragon is hidden under the water surface, in the first lake after obtaining the cloud. You usually have to land to bring it out.
- Poison Chief (x3): There are 3 copies of this boss, hidden in the area. It looks like an isolated rock in a clearing.
- Wood-water beast : There are many hippos in the area, the biggest of them is a boss.

- Giant Shigandang : Special boss to summon by possessing the 4 Skandhas.
- Golden Armored Rhinoceros
- Cloudwalking Deer
- General Fengtail : This particular boss simply requires you to land on its head, then hold R2/RT twice while having enough health and stamina.
- Emerald Arm Mantis
- Erlang, the Sacred Deity: The rematch against the intro boss. This is probably the hardest fight in the game. It is very well hidden, since you must have killed all the bosses in the game’s secret areas, in addition to having completed the Treasure Hunter quest. To fight him, go to theAltar of the Great Pagoda of Chapter 3.
- Four Heavenly Kings : The fight against these 4 titans begins automatically after defeating Erlang.
- Erlang Shen : After defeating the Four Heavenly Kings, you’re treated to a fight worthy of a King Kong/Power Rangers crossover.
- Stone Monkey : The first part of the final fight. The game fights it as a separate boss.
- The Broken Shell of the Great Sage : Final battle against what remains of Sun Wukong’s former incarnation.
