Bloody Demon Arm Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: How to get this weapon?

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree introduces nearly a hundred new weapons, and sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to uncover all of their secrets. The Bloody Demon Arm is easy to obtain, and at first glance, its stats are completely unappealing, not to mention its chicken leg appearance. But it might just be the best weapon in the game, in some ways.

At the top, you will come across a large group of ogres. Kill them all! When they die, you will automatically obtain the Bloody Demon Arm the first time. It is impossible to obtain this weapon a second time this way, nor to kill ogres in loops hoping to get lucky. You will have to go to New Game Plus, or count on the donation of another player in co-op.

How to give a bleeding effect to the Bloodfiend’s Arm?

If you’re looking for this weapon, it’s probably because you’ve heard that it can cause a bleed in one hit with the right build. This is true, but it will require some modifications. As you can see in the image below, the Bloody Demon Arm does not have a bleed effect by default.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

First of all, you should know that a powerful hit with this weapon (R2) triggers a small bloody explosion with a noticeable bleeding effect. This does not work with jump attacks or Skills.

To really optimize this weapon, you need to use Ashes of War on it, for example Lion’s Claw, or even Wild Lion’s Claw. But you should not use the default affinity. You need to have found the Black sharpening blade in Nokron. This allows you to modify the weapon affinitiesand add a passive bloody effect, on all his shots. As a bonus, this will even improve his affinity to the Esotericism attribute.

All you have to do now is upgrade the weapon to the maximum at the Forge, and adopt a build adapted to handling this weapon: 66 Strength and 50+ Esotericismin order to maximize the bleeding effect. Without this second attribute, you will never exploit the full potential of this weapon.
