Each of the innkeepers at the Hyrule Relays will challenge you to take a picture of an unusual location in Zelda TotK. Here’s where to find the octo pond for example, the large statue of the goddess, the giant white horse or the circular vestige in order to obtain relay points and dishes.

One of the longest side quests in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is the one that requires you to decorate all the inns in the game. Find the complete list of inns and the photos you need to take to be able to display a poster in the frames provided.

Trigger relay decoration missions

At any Hyrule Relay, when you approach the empty frame inside and you press A “examine”, the innkeeper will then approach you and ask for your help in filling it out. He would like to paint a nice canvas but will need a photo of a specific location to use as a model.

  • Of course, you need to unlock the camera first,
  • You will receive a relay point at the end of each mission as well as a dish,
  • It is possible to change the photo after the fact if you get a better one,
  • When the photo is good, you will always see its name appear with a red exclamation mark (only then can you take it)

Below you can find the complete map of the relays and their positions in order to successfully complete each of the “Decorate the relay” missions.

The list of all photos to display in the relays

Tabanta Bridge Relay

  • Nearby teleport point : Maqlu Qisa Shrine
  • Tenant : Byder
  • Photo to take : the ancient Colonnades, at sunrise (between 4am and 6am)
  • Where to find the place? Cross the large Tabanta Bridge west of the relay to come across the colonnades. Watch out for the Griock there.

Frozen Meadows Relay

  • Nearby teleport point : Olo Tium Sanctuary
  • Tenant : Varken
  • Photo to take : the silhouette of a giant bird with outstretched wings seen from the great solitary tree of Hebra,
  • Where to find the place? Go in front of the large solitary tree of Mont Barès and look towards the northwest (in good weather only). You will see a bird flying but above all an expanse of snow, below it, in the shape of an eagle.

Delass Relay

  • Nearby teleport point : Sinaqa Uaqa Sanctuary
  • Tenant : Ullare
  • Photo to take : the entire Rauru geoglyph, right next to the relay, seen from the sky
  • Where to find the place? Right next to the relay, taking a hot air balloon will not be enough! However, you can rise a little on the rocks around the relay and take the photo from afar.

Relay on the edge of the plain

  • Nearby teleport point : Tut Ume Shrine
  • Tenant : Ibreauvor
  • Photo to take : one of Hyrule’s cherry blossom trees
  • Where to find the place? You can check out our Satori map if you like, or simply head to Mount Satori to the left of the relay, to take a picture of the pink tree.

Gerudo Canyon Relay

  • Nearby teleport point : Tula Qamiqa Sanctuary
  • Tenant : Peiffa – Before getting the decoration mission, you will need to help Peiffa tidy up the relay via the “Peiffa’s rescue” mission. You simply need to break the wooden crates with an axe to collect materials.
  • Photos to take : You have to take two this time! One from the Spyglass Rock Smile and one from the 8th heroine’s giant sword.
  • Where to find the place? For the first, you have to use the Gerudo Canyon Tower and use the parasail for the rock to the east. Spot the Griock on a rocky point: if you defeat it, it is from this observation point that you will be able to take a photo of the “smile”. The giant sword, meanwhile, is at the top of the Gerudo Heights (and not hanging on the statue of the eighth heroine), northwest of the relay. Watch out for the Ice Griock who dominates the forgotten sword.

Alpine pasture relay

  • Nearby teleport point : Utu Xoqi Sanctuary
  • Tenant : Kopad
  • Photo to take : the giant white horse
  • Where to find the place? If you haven’t captured him yet, you’ll find him a little further southeast of the relay, at the end of the Equine Deity Bridge.

  • Where to find the place? Not far from the relay but it will mainly be a question of patience since the weather is almost never nice in this region. Don’t hesitate to look at the weather icons next to your mini-map on the screen: this tells you if it will be nice (sunny) in the coming hours.

Twin relay

  • Nearby teleport point : Exo Se Sanctuary
  • Tenant : Gachane
  • Photo to take : “Hyrule’s perfect dawn”, the most beautiful sunrise in the kingdom from Mount Frisette
  • Where to find the place? Go to the top of Mount Frisette, to the left of the Village of Écaraille. Wait between 5:00 and 6:00 in the morning for the sun to rise over the ocean.
