Despite some potential, Diablo 4 Season 5 disappointed players due to major issues at the heart of its mechanics, which this update tries to fix, but…
Called the Infernal Hordes, Diablo 4 Season 5 had all the cards in hand to keep players busy until the release of the Vessel of Hatred DLC. But many major problems spoil the fun of the game, which a new update tries to alleviate, but there is still work to be done in Sanctuary.
A hellish Season 5 for Diablo 4
Diablo Season 5 introduced a mechanic that it owes its name to: the ability to face veritable Infernal Hordes, and to collect nice rewards after having defeated increasingly formidable enemies. But the whole thing is plagued by major problems that make the whole mechanic almost obsolete at very high levels, or even unfairly difficult.
Blizzard has thus deployed a small patch aimed at correcting what can be corrected in Season 5 of Diablo 4. Unfortunately, this only solves part of the infernal equation. The update in question actually reduces damage deemed excessively high by the community concerning certain bosses deployed or brought up to date with Season 5, and takes the opportunity to make some improvements in terms of stability and performance. Unfortunately, the problem relating to chests unlocked after a run against the Infernal Hordes has still not been corrected. Blizzard has indicated that it is actively looking for a solution in this regard, but players are starting to get impatient.
Please note that a discussion session by the fire will be held on August 29 with the Diablo 4 team. This stream will be an opportunity to talk about patch 2.0 as well as the new features coming to the game in October, both through the Vessel of Hatred DLC and Season 6, which plans to add yet another new mechanic. Let’s hope that Blizzard will take advantage of this to correct the immediate problems related to Season 5, and that the rest of the program will be less hellish. In the meantime, you can find the notes for the update that interests us here on the official Blizzard website, cited in the source below.
