Do this every week to avoid having your cryptocurrency stolen from your phone

A security company recommends that users take action on their phones to prevent cryptocurrency from being stolen.

In a recent recommendation, security firm Dilation Effect advises cryptocurrency investors should restart their phone once a week.

This simple action can do disrupt hackers’ activities and make their attacks more noticeable to victims.

United States National Security Agency (NSA) has also issued a security warning advising users to restart their mobile phones once a week. So what effect does this seemingly small action have to prevent attacks? Dilation Effect has published an analysis.

This is because attacks on mobile phones are often carried out through text messages or browsers. If the phone is successfully hacked and a Trojan is installed during the process, restarting the phone may do the trick disrupt Trojan operations.

After the phone reboots, if the Trojan wants to remain active, the hacker must master the secure boot vulnerability of the mobile phone system or re-exploit the attack code. If the attacker needs to perform the attack again, the victim can notice this.

According to experts, secure boot vulnerabilities are rare, so restarting the phone after a period of use is reasonable.

In addition to a weekly reboot, Dilation Effect also recommends that iPhone users Permanently turn off iMessage functionality. This could potentially add another layer of security and further protect users from potential threats.
