The Elden Ring DLC introduces dozens of new bosses, some of which are terribly difficult like Bayle or Messmer. In order to progress a little more smoothly and not miss any, discover all the information in this guide, with their position, tips and advice for the fight.

Shadow of the Erdtree’s bosses are generally much harder than Elden Ring’s, and the way the world is structured means that you can theoretically take them on in almost any order, with a few exceptions. But they’re definitely not all at the same level of difficulty, and you’re likely to miss quests in some cases.

Here is a suggested order in which to do the major bosses, in order to obtain a relatively progressive difficulty curve while giving you the opportunity to accumulate as many levels and Blessings of the Occult Tree as possible via the Splinters of the Occult Tree. Remember to go talk to all the quest NPCs after each major boss in case of doubt. The majority of minor bosses, encountered in the open world and the side dungeons are not listed. We only count 5 mandatory bosses in total.
