Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Elder Dragon Forge Stone: Where to find them in the DLC?

The Elden Ring DLC adds forge materials, allowing you to test and improve SOTE’s new weapons. With this guide, discover the location of the Dragon Forge Stones on the map, with indications on the bosses and dungeons likely to give you some.
There are nearly a hundred new and interesting weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, and most of them will require you to use Smithing Stones to upgrade them. To unlock the maximum +25 upgrade, you’ll need a Ancient Dragon Forge Stone. Unlike lower-rank stones that are available in unlimited quantities via Miner’s Cinerary Pearls, there are only a very limited number of max-rank stones in the game. There are 13 in the base game And 8 more in the DLC.

- You can find them in all the Forge Ruins type dungeons. The first stone is obtained by interacting with the altar at the top, reached by climbing the large metal tube. You will find the Anvil Hammer at the same time.
- Another Ancient Dragon Forge Stone is found by killing the Magma Dragon of the Dragon Pit.
- The chest at the top of the Pillar of Suppression contains one, southeast of the Grave Plain.
- Senessax the Elder Dragon will give you one, in Jagged Peak.
- Another stone can be found a little after Senessax, on a corpse near several slimes.
- The Occult Altus Forge Ruins will give you one when you inspect the Altar. You will receive it at the same time as the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword.
- The last ruins of Forge, at the base of Rauh contains two stones. One on a balcony with 2 Golems, the other in the altar, with the Golem Summon.
