In addition to text and voice chat channels, Once Human allows its players to express their emotions in-game using a large number of Emotes divided into two distinct categories: Poses which make your character expressive and make it move according to the emotions you want to convey around you, and the Expressions which are small icons that appear near your character temporarily in order to briefly and simply express an emotion.
How to do an Emote in Once Human?
To be able to do an Emote in Once Human, whether it’s a Pose or an Expression, you must first assign a shortcut to the ones you want to use most often. To do this, here’s how to do it:
- Go to your Inventory (I key by default)
- Go to the “Appearance” top right
- Select the “Expressions“
- Assign a key (1-8 by default) to each Pose or Expression you want to use
After that, all you have to do is go back into the game and press your X key (default) to open the Poses and Expressions menu associated with a keyboard shortcut.
Also note that you can launch a Pose or Expression at any time regardless of whether or not it is assigned to a keyboard shortcut by opening the Poses and Expressions menu (X key by default) and selecting the dotted list icon at the bottom of the menu. This will open the menu of all the Poses and Expressions you have, all you have to do is click on one of them to launch it!
