Former PayPal CEO Peter Thiel continues to hold Bitcoin despite concerns that BTC price will not increase strongly

Former PayPal CEO and Founders Fund co-founder Peter Thiel has confirmed he still holds Bitcoin, reiterating his previous comment that he wished he had bought more sooner.

When asked in a recent interview if he would sell any Bitcoin, Thiel speak:

“I still have some Bitcoin. I should have bought more.”

However, Thiel did not seem too optimistic about bitcoin’s price potential, adding:

“I’m not sure it’s going to spike from now on.”

However, some industry experts have argued against Thiel’s point of view, saying that this major cryptocurrency still has a lot of room for growth.

Bitcoin was trading at $60,449 at the time of writing, down 2% over the past 24 hours.

In February, Reuters reported that Peter Thiel’s venture capital firm Founders Fund invested $100 million in bitcoin last year, at a price below $30,000.

Founders Fund reportedly first started investing in Bitcoin in 2014, making $1.8 billion by selling before the market crashed in 2022.

Thiel himself has been a long-time Bitcoin supporter.. During the 2021 bull run, Thiel also said he felt as though he had not invested enough in Bitcoin.
