Former PayPal CEO and Founders Fund co-founder Peter Thiel has confirmed he still holds Bitcoin, reiterating his previous comment that he wished he had bought more sooner.
When asked in a recent interview if he would sell any Bitcoin, Thiel speak:
“I still have some Bitcoin. I should have bought more.”
However, Thiel did not seem too optimistic about bitcoin’s price potential, adding:
“I’m not sure it’s going to spike from now on.”
However, some industry experts have argued against Thiel’s point of view, saying that this major cryptocurrency still has a lot of room for growth.
Bitcoin was trading at $60,449 at the time of writing, down 2% over the past 24 hours.

In February, Reuters reported that Peter Thiel’s venture capital firm Founders Fund invested $100 million in bitcoin last year, at a price below $30,000.
Founders Fund reportedly first started investing in Bitcoin in 2014, making $1.8 billion by selling before the market crashed in 2022.
Thiel himself has been a long-time Bitcoin supporter.. During the 2021 bull run, Thiel also said he felt as though he had not invested enough in Bitcoin.
