G.Skill has DDR5 memories that reach 10,000 MHz with standard cooling

The new board with the Z890 chip is the only component strictly necessary to be able to use these new processors, since we can continue using the rest of the components that our PC has and thus reduce the necessary investment if we plan to take the leap.

However, if we want to get the most out of Intel’s Core Ultra Series 200 range, the best way to do so is to update the RAM memory for some of the latest generation like the one that G.Skill has just presented with the model Trident Z5 CK and that were added to the models a few days ago that have been presented by other manufacturers such as TeamGroup and Asgard among others.

G.Skill DDR5-9600 Memory

These new memory modules, according to the company, have been specifically designed for the new Intel Core Ultra and boards with the Z890 chip to be able to enjoy the highest transfer speed without having to modify the BIOS, a modification that not everyone knows or is willing to always make the board compatible with XMP 3.0.

But, if you have advanced knowledge and slightly modify the voltages and timing of the board you can up to 10.000MHz in dual channel mode without the need to use a special cooling system.

G.Skill’s Trident 25 CK memory is available in 48 GB through two 24 GB moduleshas a timing of 46-58-58-153 and incorporates its own heat sink.

This same manufacturer claims to have achieved speed with these same modules up to 12,000MHz of transfer speed by overclocking with the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K in combination with the same board that we have had the opportunity to analyze with the Z890 chip, the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 APEX.

This memory is not compatible with AMD EXPOso if the Core Ultra Series 200 desktop range doesn’t meet your needs and you’re waiting for the Ryzen 9000X3D that will be presented on November 7, you will have to wait for the release of new memories that are.

These new processors welcome the Zen 5 architecture and, if we pay attention to the different leaks, it will represent a significant leap in terms of performance and consumption compared to the previous generation. To clear up doubts, we have to wait a couple of weeks.

Price and availability

The Trident Z5 CK RAM is available in an RGB version for $399. It is also available without lighting for $10 less, $389. Although it is not yet available on the market, it is already listed in some retail establishments in the United States, so it is a matter of days before its availability expands to Europe.
