Are you dreaming of a very special horse that looks like Ponyta in your game of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? In addition to being beautiful, the latter is much larger than all the other specimens. Here is how to obtain it easily.
Where to find the giant horse?
- Region : Firone
- Place : Ibara Heights
- Nearest relay : Alpine pasture relay
- Nearest Sanctuary : Utu Xoqi
- Path : leave from the relay and follow the path passing by the bridge of the equine divinity
Above the Firone Sea lies the Alpages Relay. This is where you can do one of Penn’s investigations for “In Search of Truth” but also your starting point to go find the giant horse. As indicated on the map above, follow the path, passing by the wooden bridge, to come across a valley filled with butterflies (and surrounded by waterfalls. The place is beautiful and this is where the giant horse takes refuge.
On the road, you will meet certain characters who will talk to you about this “equine divinity”.
How to calm the giant horse?
Like any other horse, you’ll need to spam your L button on the left stick in order to tame the beast. Obviously, such a large horse won’t let you do it and you’ll need at least 2 complete endurance wheels to calm him down. You can make shrines and exchange 4 Charity Glows to a Goddess Statue to get an Endurance Receptacle, otherwise, you can prepare the best recipes that give energy.
Approach the horse while crouching and press A to mount it. Press L repeatedly and quickly to calm it down and, when you have little stamina left, open your “+” inventory to consume a remedy or a dish that gives stamina in order to continue. Once the horse is calmed down, bring it back to the Relais des Alpages, taking the same path as on the way there, in order to be able to register it.
