About six assets had weekly negative returns. This includes XRP, Bitcoin, and Shiba Inu. On the other hand, Solana, Toncoin and Tron have seen significant gains and emerged as the top performing coins.
The SHIB market is not without challenges. Over the past few weeks, this asset has dropped significantly. SHIB suffered the heaviest losses as its price fell 34.8% between May 26 and June 26. Dogecoin, Shiba Inu’s rival, saw its investors lose 24, 9% monthly. With a decrease in value of only 3.7% during the observation period, Binance Coin [BNB] has the least monthly decline.
Shiba Inu shines in the annual rankings
The Shiba Inu has had a great start to the year. This property initially showed impeccable growth. The 10 assets highlighted in Grayscale’s report have shown profitable returns over the past 12 months. Solana, Toncoin, BNB and SHIB are the most notable assets among them. SHIB grew 140.4% over the course of the year. Toncoin recorded a 460.7% increase and Solana skyrocketed 822.8%.
The top coins are still dominating the market. Ethereum & Bitcoin are up 88.3% and 105% respectively. XRP seems to have had a dull year, gaining just 1.6% since last June.
