Another creature that likes to disguise itself as Ditto is available on Pokémon GO . Since October 2022, it is finally possible to catch a Zorua. Without further ado, here is how to catch it right now.
How to capture a Zorua?
This time, you won’t have to bring your Pokémon Buddy out onto the map by feeding it berries or poffins: Zorua is a Pokémon that likes to disguise itself as other creatures, just like Ditto, but as one creature in particular, your Buddy. So remember what your Pokémon Buddy looks like (a Mimigal for example). If you see one appear in the wild, click on it: it could be a disguised Zorua!
- Zorua disguises himself as your Pokémon Buddy,
- If you see a Pokémon on the map that is the same as your Buddy, then it might be a disguised Zorua,
- Catch the Basic Pokémon and wait for the shape-shifting animation to occur (same as for Ditto)
Don’t hesitate to put a recognizable Pokémon Buddy in order to spot it more easily if Zorua spawns on your map. You can optimize your chances with an Incense.
Good to know : Zorua’s spawn point (disguised as your Buddy Pokémon) apparently changes every 30 minutes. If you’re staying at home, don’t hesitate to launch your application regularly.
Is Zorua shiny available?
Yes, Zorua has been available in its chromatic form since October 2023 during the Halloween event (this event is also a good way, every year, to get a Zorua easily). It has blue flames instead of red ones.
Evolve Zorua into Zoroark
You simply need to capture Zorua in order to obtain 50 candies to evolve it into Zoroark. There are therefore no special conditions or items to use. Remember to consume Nanana berries when capturing it to get twice as many candies.
