Hylia Shield Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: How to get the best shield in Hyrule Castle

In this video guide, we show you how to reach the famous Hylia shield to go with your new prodigy tunic and the legendary sword. Head to Hyrule Castle in the sky of Zelda Totk, for a short trip to the edge of the depths and a torch puzzle.
We continue to play archaeologists in Hyrule Castlein search of a second piece of equipment that is very important to any good Zelda game: the Hylia shield. It is obviously back in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and we show you how to get it in the video above.
How to reach Hyrule Castle?
We’ve already given you a little rundown on this in a previous guide, for the riddle of the new prodigy tunic, as a reminder: start from the reconnaissance tower of Fort de Guet, take everything you have that’s best for restoring stamina and if possible, take advantage of Babil’s skill to get closer even faster. Our objective for the day is in the depths so don’t bother climbing and instead go and look for the Seltabo Mati sanctuary located along the path, on the northeast side of the dungeon map. Once the teleportation point is created, we will be able to go and get Link’s famous legendary shield.
How to get the Hylia shield?
At the charred trees next to the shrine, jump down and spot a cave below that you can squeeze into.. Here you are in the famous Zelda BotW pier, but this time there is no sanctuary to be won. If you don’t want to make a miasmatic saber by facing the shadow of Ganon waiting for you at the top of the steps, simply go along the edge of the water and climb the wall at the back of the room to continue your ascent. When you arrive near the enormous torch, take out a fire fruit or your most beautiful ruby magic wand to set it ablaze and make the chest containing the piece of equipment appear. Now that you’ve rebuilt much of Link’s early-game gear, including the Old Hair Ring, the Prodigy’s Tunic, and now the Hylia Shield, all that’s left is to go get the Legendary Sword from the White Dragon’s back.
