Kecleon Pokémon GO: How to capture this creature finally added to the game?

If you participated in the Marisson Community Day on January 7, 2023 on Pokémon GO, you may have noticed that some Pokéstops around you were a little strange at the end of the event… Wild Kecleon had fun camouflaging themselves on the Photodiscs and, by clicking on them, it is now possible to capture them! Here’s how to do it.

Kecleon is finally available in the game!

A long wait that finally paid off: Kecleon, the third generation Pokémon, has finally been added to Pokémon GO. The opportunity to capture it and add it to your collection once and for all. Fortunately, the method is quite simple and has nothing to do with Mordudor, the new creature from Pokémon Scarlet and Purple.

Below is what it looks like in normal and shiny versions, although the latter is not yet available:

How to capture Kecleon?

In France, it is since this Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. (i.e. since the end of the Marisson Community Day) that it is possible to find Kecleon and capture him. To do this, you must:

  1. Walk around your home or the nearest town to find Pokéstops,
  2. Spin as many as possible Pokéstops to identify a Kecleon directly on the Photodisc image: it has an appearance transparent/slimy that you will see embossed on the Pokéstop,
  3. Touch the Kecleon to make it turn color,
  4. Click until it jumps off the screen,
  5. Exit the Pokéstop and Kecleon will appear in the wild directly on the game map,
  6. Click on the Kecleon to capture it.

Favor raspberry berries for the capture since Kecleon has no evolution and the candies obtained via Nanana berries would only serve to increase its Combat Points. We do not yet know exactly how likely you are to come across a Pokéstop containing a Kecleon. More information will probably be communicated at a later date.
