When starting a game in Lords of the Fallen, you must choose a class that largely determines your play style. Hexworks offers nine fairly varied base classes with their own stats, equipment, and background. However, there are four other classes that you can obtain throughout the adventure… although it’s not easy.
At nine initial classes (Holy Knight, Udirangrian Battle Wolf, Partisan, Mournstead Foot, Blackfeather Warden, Exiled Stalker, Oriusan Purifier, Pyric Acolyte and Damned) are joined by the following:
- Crusader of Darkness.
- Resplendent Purifier.
- Mister.
- Son of Rot.
Needless to say, these additional classes are particularly strong. And how do you get them? Here begins the penance of every player who wants to have them in their inventory. Only one does not have the requirement to reach the end of the game… and that is not at all encouraging when it comes to getting them all.
The easiest to acquire is the Crusader of Darknesswhich is the weakest of the four secret classes. It is the classic paladin: physical damage combined with resplendent magic to heal and buff. It is included in the Deluxe Edition of Lords of the FallenIf you don’t have this edition, then you must follow the Paladin Isaac questline, which begins with an item found during the first few minutes of the adventure.
He Shining Purifier Obtained by completing the Brilliant Ending or Radiance’s End. This is considered the “good” ending. All you need to do is purify at least one of the five Corrupted Beacons and face the final boss. This is a mage who uses Radiant magic. You could say that he’s a more powerful version of the Oriusan Purifier. It’s worth it just for the clothes!
He Mister is the reward for those who unlock the end of Hell or Adyr’s End. It is considered the “bad guy”. To get it we must avoid purifying a single corruption and get the Rune of Adyr. Giving more details means spoilers, but the moral is to support the bad guy. It is a slow class, but with a lot of power and capacity to do damage.
Finally, the Son of Rot It is the most difficult class to obtain due to the complexity of its missions. We must obtain the end of the shadow or End of the Threshold. We must not interact with the corruption at any time and follow the missions that the worshipers of the Threshold entrust us with, which inevitably involve killing several NPCs and obtaining the Rune of Adyr. It is one of the most interesting and attractive classes due to its great dark power.
