Major leaks from the Call of Duty series reveal initial plans for 2025 and 2026, along with early evidence of Warzone 3.
Black Ops 6 is coming in months to PCSteam Deck, PS4PS5 and Xbox (premiering on Game Pass), but Activision does not stop and the saga Call of Duty already has plans AAA in 2025 and 2026; in addition to Warzone 3.
A new round of Call of Duty leaks derived from the last CoD HQ Update has revealed codenames, weapon lists and more; including the two upcoming games.
As if that were not enough, we also have the First mention of Call of Duty Warzone 3 and some future plans for DMZ; although this is still somewhat vague.

All of this has been seen by dataminers, who have been attacking the game en masse since it arrived in the CoD HQ app and may have hidden information in its code.
On this occasion, and as noted in Dexerto, the update in August 2024 reveals some of the first mentions of what appear to be the two upcoming Call of Duty games.
Once Black Ops 6 arrives on October 25, 2024, said insiders claim that Modern Warfare 4 and Black Ops 7 are comingalthough not precisely in that order because that is not known.
The CoD HQ latest update I also discovered code names like ‘Saturn’ in one of them, while Rex and Rap are in the others together names of weapons and their characteristics.
“Talk of this started this morning in our group chat, suggesting that Rez had replaced Saturn because of the amount of data there was compared to Saturn.
I was already aware that MW4 was Rex and I suggested that wasn’t the case, but the more I looked at the files the more it pointed to MW4,” COD Warfare wrote on Twitter.
Needless to say, these are plans in a very early stage of development and everything can change, such as the order of the games and even releasing something different to create a smokescreen for leaks.
But if all this is true, the leakers claim that Saturn is going to be Black Ops 7 and Rex is linked to Modern Warfare 4; the latter would be developed by Infinity Ward.
Accompanying the 2026 game there would be more things planned, such as what has been Internally tagged as Call of duty Warzone 3.
Although Warzone 2 was scrapped in favor of the saga returning to its original title, it seems that this codename would be used for the 3rd installment to be the relaunch of the Battle Royale.
This could indicate all the new maps, modes, features, mechanics, and more as seen when the original pivoted into Warzone 2.0 and its release.
The same account said that Warzone 2 is still the internal name used at Activision to refer to the current version of Warzone.

You can also see some lines in the code referencing DMZ as part of Project Rex, it would make sense that it would be Modern Warfare 4 since that was an Infinity Ward project.
While this did attract a portion of the audience, it didn’t have that much of an impact on the Battle Royale genre and ended up being a thing of the past. Would they try it again in some form?
