After the many rumors and a few leaks concerning the arrival of Nymphali on Pokémon GO, Niantic has finally officially revealed the arrival of the Pokémon Fairy on the game.
THE Pokémon Korea Twitter account even posted a short video to introduce Nymphali:
When will Nymphali be available on Pokémon GO?
Nymphali will arrive in the game shortly after the Illuminated Legends X and Y event. This event notably highlights the legendary Xerneas and Yveltal but also allows you to capture Pokémon from the sixth generation in Kalos.
Soon, the Yveltal event will begin and will take place in two distinct parts. The first part will take place from May 18th to 24th while the second will take place from Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., to Monday, May 31, 2021 at 8:00 p.m.
It is this second part that interests us since it will allow us to see Nymphali for the first time in the game.
How to evolve Eevee into Nymphali?
Starting May 25, 2021, you will be able to capture Eevee and try to evolve it into Sylveon. Here’s how to do it:
- Choose Eevee as your Buddy Pokémon,
- Get 70 friendship hearts with your Eevee: just play with it, pet it, give it berries.
- If you have enough Eevee candies (25), you can then click on “evolve”. Make sure you have 70 hearts with the monster.
If you want to evolve Eevee into Sylveon for the first time, simply rename it “Kira“. This only works once.
What does Nymphali shiny look like?
For a few years now, the basic Pokémon Eevee has been available in a shiny version. This means that by evolving it into Aquali, Jolteon or Umbreon for example, you can also obtain them in shiny. The same goes for Sylveon.
By following the required evolution method to transform your shiny Eevee into a Nymphali, you will then obtain the latter of another color as well.
Just a few more days to wait before meeting Nymphali on Pokémon GO!
