If you’re more of an adventurer, the Adventure Week event is for you. It features many fossil Pokémon, but also missions where you’ll have to explore every nook and cranny of the places around you in Pokémon GO.
Pokémon GO Adventure Week: Event Details
The “Hidden Gems” season is in full swing and what could be better than a week highlighting Rock-type creatures for a season with such a name. This is indeed what Niantic is offering us to keep us going while we wait for the arrival of the various deadlines of the Pokémon GO Fest 2023. So, from Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 10 a.m. to Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 8 p.m.you will be able to discover a new Mega-Evolution as well as the return of some rather popular monsters, some of which can finally be in their chromatic form.
- Mega Tyranitar debuts in Mega Raids.
- Regidrago returns in 5-star Raid.
- Arrival of Ptyranidur and Amagara shiny.
In addition to being able to obtain these creatures, you will be able to take advantage of certain bonuses that you will find below.
- Bonus #1: XP ×2 when spinning PokéStops.
- Bonus #2: 5x XP when spinning a PokéStop for the first time.
- Bonus #3: Hatching distance halved when Eggs are placed in Incubators during this event.
Pokémon GO Spot Study: Get ready to explore for tons of rewards!
As with every event, there is one or more studies available. Sometimes they are paid, but most of the time they remain free. In the case of Adventure Week, there are two one-off studies available.
- A free one-time study will be available during which you will have to choose between exploration tasks and research tasks.
- A paid one-time study ($2) will also be available, allowing you to complete exploration-related missions to earn two Incubators and a Super Incubator, and to encounter Pokémon.
At the moment, we don’t have the details regarding these two one-time studies, but as soon as we do, we’ll update this guide. Also, keep in mind that you’ll need to complete them before the end of the event since they disappear once it ends.
Pokémon GO Adventure Week: A collection challenge for fossil lovers
This event also features a Collection Challenge. For those who don’t know what to expect, this is just a list of Pokémon to catch or obtain during an event. For example, in the case of Adventure Week, we might have to catch Amonita, Kabuto, and other creatures recreated from fossils.
At the moment, we don’t have the list of Pokémon that will need to be caught or the precise rewards, however, we will update this part of the guide as well as soon as we know them.
