To accompany the Verdant Wonders event, you can take part in a collection challenge that will ask you to obtain various creatures in the Pokémon GO mobile game like Balignon. Rewards, dates, how to complete it… Here’s everything you need to know about this activity.
Zarude is making his return to Pokémon GO and to accompany him, you can participate in the Verdant Wonders event which contains a collection challenge. This is what we focus on in this guide.
Note : For those who don’t know what awaits you in a collection challenge, it’s quite simple, you just have to obtain the creatures indicated on the page where you find the time studies. Of course, you have to do it within the allotted time if you want to collect the rewards.
Pokémon GO Verdant Wonders: When can we do the collection challenges?
Collection challenges are quite a recurring feature in Niantic’s mobile game events. Details on the Verdant Wonders Collection Challenge in Pokémon GO

- Herbizarre
- Mysthherbe
- Ortide
- Granivol
- Floravol
- Balignon

- Doudouvet
- Farfaduvet
After completing this challenge, you will get the following rewards:
- 2,500 Stardust
- 5,000 PX
- A meeting with Doudouvet wearing a crown of flowers.
How to get every creature needed for the Collection Challenges on Pokémon GO?
Since you need to capture various Pokémon to complete these two challenges, here are the different ways to get them during this event.
- Bulbasaur: Wild Encounters.
- Mystherbe: wild encounters.
- Granivol: wild encounters.
- Balignon: wild encounters.
- Doudouvet: wild encounters and field study missions (explore 1 km or capture 5 Pokémon).
In addition to these creatures that can be captured, some must also be obtained through evolution. Here are the methods for obtaining them.
- Herbizarre: Evolve a Bulbasaur using 25 candies.
- Ortide: Evolve a Mystherbe using 25 candies.
- Floravol: Evolve a Granivol using 25 candies.
- Chapignon: Evolve a Balignon using 50 candies.
- Farfaduvet: evolve a Doudouvet using 50 candies and a Sun Stone that you can obtain by spinning PhotoDiscs for example.
