Pokémon GO Dark Flames: Mega Sableye, Shiny Boumata, Dates… All the details on the event

The Dark Flames event is coming to Pokémon GO this June. It’s bringing Fire- and Dark-type Pokémon, as well as the arrival of Mega Sableye in Mega Raids. Plus, Shiny Bumata is making its raid debut.
The new event under the sign of flames and darkness on Pokémon GO will allow you to meet a lot of creatures breathing flames or living in darkness. We detail all of this in this guide.
Pokémon GO Dark Flames: Event Details
The new season “Hidden Gems” reveals its events as it unfolds. This one is called Dark Flames runs from Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM to Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 8:00 PM. It introduces a new Pokémon and a new Mega Evolution to the mobile game, in addition to giving you a collection challenge.
- Boumata, the Boom Turtle Pokémon, will make his debut in Pokémon GO Raids.
- Mega Sableye will be making its debut in Pokémon GO Mega Raids.
As with any event, it is also possible to take advantage of bonuses that you will find below.
- 25% extra XP for completed Raids
- 3 Extra Candies for completed Raids
- Trainers level 31 or higher will receive an additional XL Candy for completing Raids.
- Team GO Rocket Minions using Fire- and Dark-type Pokémon will appear more frequently at PokéStops and hot air balloons.
A one-off study called “Dark Flames” is also available and takes place in four stages. Also note that an additional bonus and collection challenge will be active after the choice you make during this quest.
- Incense is more likely to attract Fire-type or Dark-type Pokémon (excluding Daily Adventure Incense).
- A Dark Flames Collection Challenge is available based on Fire or Dark-type Pokémon.
