Pokémon GO Day of the Dead: The Event Guide

A popular holiday in Mexico and other parts of the Americas, Dia de Muertos celebrates the lives and memories of friends and family who have passed on to another world. This is an ancient Aztec tradition specifying that the dead never left but simply traveled to another world to return to ours once a year. Now, every year, “People who celebrate the Day of the Dead prepare for the occasion, putting on the table the favorite dishes of their ancestors, covering the streets with petals of the flower (cempasúchil) and lighting candles and incense to enjoy a joyful celebration full of colors, music, flowers and flavors.” explains the official Pokémon GO website.
