Pokémon GO Flight Cup: The Best Team to Use to Roll Over Your Opponents

Season 11 of battles continues on Pokémon GO and the rotation of events took place on May 3, 2022. Now, you can participate in the Great League but also in the Flight Cup to try to collect rewards. If this is your first time playing GO Battles, don’t panic! Just click on the Pokéball in the menu and then on the “battle” icon. There, you can participate at any time by clicking on “battle” and then selecting the event that interests you. The game will then automatically present you with your best Pokémon that meet the necessary prerequisites or those that you have put in a team. So remember to check carefully so as not to get caught out. A match can then start and you will have to face a random trainer in the world. The more victories you win, the more rewards you get.

How to participate in the Flying Cup on Pokémon GO?

  • Event Dates: May 3 – May 10, 2022
  • Pokemon must be under 1500 CP
  • Pokémon must be Flying-type only

The Flying Cup is a competition for Flying-type Pokémon only. However, you can use any Flying-type hybrid. For example, Zapdos is an Electric and Flying-type Pokémon, making it a valid entry for the competition.

As you might expect, it’s almost impossible to predict what Pokémon random opponents will take on their teams. That being said, the selection here is limited to Flying-type and monsters below 1500CP. Here are some tips to help you easily beat other players:

  • Remember to choose three Pokémon with Type attacks Electric, Ice And Rock For example,
  • Unlock the second charged attack on the Pokémon you want to use.

Here are the three best Pokémon to put on your team:

  • Dark Ptera with Rock Throw (fast attack) + Rock Slide and Iron Head (charged attacks).
  • Altaria with Draco-Breath (fast attack) + Dive and Lunar Power (charged attacks).
  • Manta with Sea Foam (fast attack) + O Bubble and Ice Laser (charged attacks).

Of course, if you don’t have Altaria, Dark Pterodactyl, or Mantine, here are some other creatures from the first generation that you can place in your team of 3 Pokémon.

  • Emolga with Lightning + Thunder and Power Shot

  • Articuno with Ice Shards + Ice Wind and Ancient Power
  • Electhor with Lightning + Drill Beak and Fatal-Lightning
  • Vaututrice with Barking + Cheating and Shadow Ball
  • Grodrive with Punishment + Ice Wind and Shadow Ball
  • Togekiss with Charm + Ancient Power and Flamethrower
  • Scorplane with Cru-Ailes + Night Slice and Aeropic
