This August’s Community Day invites you to (re)discover Grenousse, the Crapobulle Pokémon at the heart of three hours of intensive meetings. Indeed, it will be featured this Sunday, August 13 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Niantic’s game, Pokémon GO. To help you out, we’re taking a look back at this little creature in this Community Day guide.
Pokémon GO Frog Community Day: Bonuses and tips
For a few years now, players of the mobile game have been entitled to a special day each month highlighting a particular Pokémon for a few hours. Seen like that, it’s not necessarily incredible, but there are also interesting bonuses like the increase in the meeting of chromatic forms, or even the time of Incense and Lures which is tripled.
Bonuses activated
- Pokémon Catch Candy x2.
- Pokémon Catching Stardust ×3.
- 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and above to receive XL Candy when catching Pokémon.
- Hatching distance divided by 4 when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during this event.
- Lure Modules and Incense (except Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take some shots during Community Day to get a surprise!
- An additional Special Exchange can be made for a maximum of two per day.
- Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.
- A special study called A Pokémon in its bubble will be available if you buy the dedicated ticket for €0.99. It will consist of capturing or evolving Grenousse.
- By successfully completing a four-star Raid Battle against Croâporal, additional Froakies will spawn around the Raid Arena for 30 minutes.
Tips to make the most of the event with Grenousse
Since this event only lasts a few hours, you need to be well prepared and to help you, we offer you some tips to fully enjoy and optimize your meetings.
First of all, it will be necessary take into account your environmentbecause depending on where you are, it will not be possible to maximize the meeting potential, but you can still take advantage of certain tips.
- Maximum optimization of encounters : using a Lure module and an Incense at the same time,
- Minimal Dating Optimization: using a Lure module or Incense.
Of course, even if you move around in real life you will also find some, but incense and lures will guarantee you Pokémon quite often. Be careful though, Grenousse is not 100% guaranteed to spawn on every creature that spawns. However, he has a high chance of appearing.

How to evolve Grenousse in Pokémon GO?
To evolve Grenousse, you simply need candy. You don’t need any additional items.
- From Grenousse to Croâporal: 25 candies
- From Croâporal to Amphinobi: 100 candies
- Number of Frogs to catch (excluding x2 Community Day bonus): 42 (21 with Nanana berries)
Amphinobi’s exclusive attack at Community Day
The special feature of this event is that it allows you to obtain an exclusive attack by evolving the featured Pokémon into its final stage. As for Greninja, it will be able to learn Hydroblast from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Trainer Combat Power: 80
- Arena and Raid Power: 90
Moreover, From this event, Amphinobi will be able to learn the instant attack Sheauriken.

Shiny Frog and its evolutions
To finish this guide and allow you to have what you need, we will return to the shiny version of this Pokémon. Basically, it is all blue, but in their chromatic form, their body becomes paler. So remember to check the color of Grenousse when you start an encounter. Also, don’t forget the small icon that will be at the level of the Pokémon’s information bar also allowing you to check if the creature is shiny or not.
